The Federal High Court situating in Lagos has permitted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC) to launch the compact disk containing 2,410 messages found on the iPhone of one Azeez Fashola, a Nigerian musician, popularly known with the stage name “Naira Marley”.

Following the testimonial information of the EFCC head of Foresenic Unit, Mr. Augustine Anosike. The Judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo, judged that content containing of the Compact Disk shall be projected on screen in the court by October 27.

Mr. Augustine who witnessed against the hip hop ‘Tesumole’ dancer confirmed that Naira Marley’s cybercrime, trial and all other alleged messages involving different credit card numbers were extracted from his device.

Marley who had been on trial on the 14th of May, 2011, over 11-count charge ranging from Cybercriminality and all other fraud vices has been traced to the suspicious messages on his iPhone device by the EFCC and further basked into his residence wherein several credit cards which bore fictitious names like Nicholas Louise Malton and Timea Fedore Tatar were discovered.

However, all the aforementioned tools alleged by the agency are substances for internet scamming and cybercriminality.
