Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel favours making a bid for Juventus striker Federico Chiesa. Presently in first place in the Premier League, the Blues have many attacking alternatives. Despite this, the Blues continue to be linked with various attackers, including Federico, who has made 13 starts for I Bianconeri this season in Serie A and the UCL.
In recent weeks, it has been reported that the Old Lady would reject any offer for the Italy star, regardless of the necessity for the team to better their financial condition. However, according to writer Enzo Bucchioni, the English giants are willing to pay £71 million in January for the 24-year-old. “Chelsea have decided to take action and offer €84 million for Federico Chiesa,” he claims, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
“Clearly, seeing him play twice close up has eliminated any remaining reservations, and Tuchel has given his approval, and the procedure has formally begun through intermediaries.” Massimiliano Allegri’s side is obligated to purchase him from Fiorentina, but Chelsea will not finalize the transfer until the summer.
Meanwhile, Fiorentina is planning to complete Jonathan Ikoné signing in the next few days. The agreement is at final stages for €15m to Lille – future sale percentage will also be included in the deal. Ikoné’s arrival in January is not linked with Dusan Vlahovic future.
